The Past Five Months...

Once I got back from Thailand, I really tried to settle into normality and I guess I must have succeeded because five months has passed since my last entry. You don't feel like you have much to say when you are just living life but I know a few of you will want to know what I have been up to and would like to see some photos, so this is for you.
On the job front, I asked my temping agency to try and get me into a Human Resources team as an Administrator, which they did. I had hoped for a mining company, which it was. And I was hoping it would become permanent, which it did, just before Christmas - Merry Christmas to me! I am now a Human Resources Advisor for Fortescue Metals Group, an iron-ore mining company. It is going okay but I have a lot to learn - it is a whole new world for me!

Congratulations to Gem and Simon on their engagement. This is the night Gem asked me to be her bridesmaid - I'm so excited!

Sci and I have had a fun summer with concerts such as Snow Patrol (at the beautiful Belvoir Ampitheatre) and the Southbound Festival (Michael Franti and Spearhead was the highlight...as was a groove to the always fantastic, Basement Jaxx).

Southbound!

Then there has been parties like Buschy's Australia Day bash, Gemma and Simon's engagement party, and Sci and my birthday drinks.

Numerous trips to the beach, a couple of trips down to our holiday house, fun with friends, a night of star-gazing at Perth Observatory (we saw Saturn - very cool), some wonderful films and some beautiful meals - life is good.

Future plans include a week in Sydney at the end of April and Sci's parents coming to visit in May. (Anyone else up for a trip and a free place to stay?) Sci and I also plan to get our Scuba-Diving license at some point so we may need to plan a holiday to take advantage of that!
