San Clemente, Orange County
19th - 24th July
By the time we reached the quiet, beachside town of San Clemente, we were in need of a place to chill out and relax. San Clemente proved to be the perfect place to do this...we just encountered problems anytime we left the town to explore other Orange County beaches. This stretch of Southern Californian coastline is absolute mayhem in July - the freeways were banked up and parking was a nightmare, so we didn't see half of what we had hoped to see. But anyway, the beaches were beautiful and it was a good way to end our month of sightseeing in the US.
As it turns out, on returning to Perth, we went to see a film called "Brick", which is set and obviously filmed in San Clemente - spooky.
Just to make you foreign people jealous, I have included a picture of me on Dana Point beach (Ornage County) in the middle of the US summer and a picture of me on Scarborough beach (Perth) in the middle of a Perth winter.
