Beautiful Boston
July 1st - July 4th

I thought that I may experience Boston as a bit of a letdown after New York - how wrong I was. Boston is a beautiful city - my kind of city. It has beautiful buildings, parks, wharfs; interesting history; and it is clean!! Why certainly different to New York, it is by no means inferior.

Sci and I have walked around some of the historic parts of Boston, enjoyed some park life, some high life, some good seafood, took in an IMAX 3-D screening of "Sharks" and today went out on a whale sighting boat. I would have been happy with seeing one whale from a distance but we saw many whales from all different perspecives, some really close to the boat...and I was one of the lucky ones who caught a humpback whale making a full breech out of the water and slamming back down - absolutely breathtaking.

We have had a great time here. It is Independence Day today so we hope to catch the fireworks tonight. We head up into Maine tomorrow in the hire car...should be interesting!!
